Learning a marketable skill

Creating a sewing vocational center near rural areas in Taxila, Pakistan for girls and women needing dignified work has been a high priority for the last 2 years.

Many women in rural areas have no safe or clean place to come together and learn a skill. In combination with skill training, we will offer classes in business and personal money management through a sister nonprofit.

We have passionate mentors who can manage and hire great teachers locally. For a relatively small budget, we can put in 6-8 machines, rent a clean room, and purchase initial supplies. Women’s undergarments will be produced. These are a high need for sanitation and health in the area.

For $8,000 a year, we can maintain this center.
