Getting access to water is a difficult issue in rural Pakistan. Girls are often unsafe when they go for water far from home. During summer months, dehydration is common, and can lead to urinary tract infections and a host of other health problems. We have been installing hand pumps for 5 years and see great relief for many families. During COVID-19, we installed several with hand washing instructions printed nearby with soap so people understood the dangers of spreading bacteria.
